Ellevation offers a range of Reports that let you document and share student data outside the Platform, from individual student snapshots to cumulative folder records. At certain points throughout the year, you may need to have the student data and information stored in Ellevation documented physically. This is often because you need to:

  • Share information with key stakeholders in the district who do not have Ellevation access.
  • Facilitate state and federal compliance processes.
  • File official documentation in students' folders.

This article covers the following topics:

Reports Overview

Reports are found in the Report & Parent Letter Gallery (accessed from the Reports button in the Ellevation masthead navigation bar). The Gallery is shown below.

Ellevation Predefined Report Templates

Ellevation's Reports in the Report & Parent Letter Gallery include four predefined Report Templates. You can generate these predefined templates as-is.

You can also customize Ellevation's predefined Reports to create your own templates that you can save, share with your district, and reuse. To learn how, see Create and Manage Custom Report Templates.

Student Plan

The Student Plan, commonly renamed the EL Student Plan, ILP, or IELP, provides a snapshot of a student's data.

The Student Plan includes student information from defined time periods by default:

  • Data other than test scores is from the current school year, based on the School Year Start and End dates in your district's Ellevation Account Settings.
  • The ELP Tests section contains the most recent ELP Test results stored in Ellevation, including any ELP Test Types defined by Ellevation and custom Test Types.
  • The Standardized Tests section contains all Standardized Test results stored in Ellevation from all time.

This Report is often used to communicate with classroom teachers about their students' statuses and instructional plans.

This Report name may vary depending on your district's Ellevation settings.

Cumulative Folder Report

The Cumulative Folder Report includes almost everything from the student demographic page, along with ELP test history, accommodations, and modifications. This Report includes all data from the current and all previous school years for which there is data in Ellevation.

The default Student Information section in the Cumulative Folder Report displays a greater degree of information pulled from Student Profiles than the other predefined Ellevation Report Templates, because of the level of detail this report type often needs to capture.

This Report is often added to students' file folders to provide an annual snapshot of each English learner in the district.

Some districts use the Cumulative Folder Report as their Student Plan due to state requirements or district preferences. Check with your Ellevation Program Administrator to see which Report you should use.
