If you assign Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports in Ellevation, you can generate Reports and Exports of those assignments to share with district stakeholders or upload into your district or state data systems. You can export this information as a clear PDF or as a spreadsheet for one or more students.

Generate the State Test Accommodations Report from the Reports & Parent Letter Gallery
The State Test Accommodations Report shows the testing accommodations or designated supports assigned to a student for different standardized assessments in Ellevation for the current school year, based on the School Year Start and End dates in your district's Ellevation Account Settings. This Report is helpful to share with teachers or specialists who are not using Ellevation, or to save to Student Profiles.

This Report name may vary depending on your district's Ellevation settings.
Filter and Select Students
To generate this Report for one or more students from the Student List:
- Navigate to the Student List by clicking Students on the navigation bar, then selecting Student List.
- Determine which students you would like to generate this Report for. To narrow down the students that appear on your Student List, use the Filters at left.
- To generate this Report for Active EL students: select the EL/ELL/LEP Status Filter, select is any of EL/ELL/LEP, then click Done.
- To generate this Report for students who have Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports assigned for any assessment or a particular assessment: search for the Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports Filters, select Any Test or a particular assessment name, select has any value, refine by Year/Semester to include only students with assignments in a particular time period, then click Done.
- Click Reports at the top of the Student List.
- Select Reports & Parent Letters.
- The Report Templates Gallery opens in a new tab.
- Select State Testing Accommodations Report or Instructional Supports Report under the Ellevation or District Templates Reports header.
Generate an Export of Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports Using the Export Wizard
The Export Wizard is a data analysis tool that exports the Accommodations assigned to students into a spreadsheet in .csv (comma-separated values) file format. This comprehensive Export is helpful to share with testing coordinators, as it displays the testing accommodations each student should receive for every standardized assessment documented for them in Ellevation during your selected testing period.
ℹ️ Note
If no students were assigned Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports in your district, this Export option will not appear under Complex Exports in the Export Wizard.

💡 Quick Tip
If your district uses TestHound Auto Pilot, you can set up an export of your Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports from Ellevation to TestHound. To set up an automated export, reach out to the Help Desk for support.
Configure and Run the Export
To generate an Export of Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports:
- Navigate to the Export Wizard. Click Reports on the navigation bar, then select Export Wizard.
- Under Step 1. Select the population to export, click Add Filter to narrow down which students will be included.
- In most cases, you will want to include only Active students. To include all Active students in Ellevation, select Active in the Filter dropdown, Equal to in the Operator dropdown, and Yes in the Value dropdown.
- To further narrow the list, scroll or search to find additional Filters and click a Filter name to apply it. Select the appropriate options; different Operators and Values appear depending on the Filter you choose. For simple flags, choose between Yes and No. For more complex Filters, choose the Operator that best suits your needs and select or input the appropriate Value(s).
- Under Step 2. Select Export Fields, select the Fields to include. Each Field adds a column to your spreadsheet.
- By default, the Basic Demographics section is expanded and Name, School, Test ID #, and Student # are selected.
- Click the header names to expand and collapse the Fields within each category, then click the checkbox to the left of each additional Field you would like to include.
- Click the Complex Exports section and select Testing Accommodations/Designated Supports.
- Select a testing period under either the Select Year/Semester or Most recent in dropdown menus. Select Year/Semester includes all assigned Accommodations within the selected period; Most recent in includes only the most recently assigned Accommodations within the selected academic year.
- As needed, check Include Comments/Justification.
- Click Run export now to generate your Export.
- You can check the status under Recent File Exports at the bottom of your screen. A green notification window will appear in the lower right, and you will receive an email once your Export is ready.
- Once your Export is ready, click the file name or select Download from the Dropdown menu icon to the right of your file export. You can then open the file in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel.
